We invite you to a special evening dedicated to celebrating the anniversaries of Prof. Dr. Rimantas Balsys.
This year, the Professor marks his 65th birthday and 35 years of academic and scholarly work at Klaipėda University.
Rimantas Balsys is an ethnologist, Doctor of Humanities, Professor, and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Klaipėda University. He is one of the most prominent researchers of Lithuanian and Prussian mythology, religion, folklore, and folk culture. Alongside his academic work, he is also known as a singing professor – for him, music and poetry become another form of living storytelling about people, homeland, memory, and time.
This evening is a dialogue of scholarship, culture, and music, inviting us to pause, reflect on the path taken, and celebrate the works and people who have accompanied the Professor throughout his life and creative journey.
